Frequently asked questions

Where is my dive data stored?

Your dives, diver profile, profile picture, and certification card photos are stored on your device.

If iCloud sync is enabled, this information is also stored in your private iCloud database so it can be synchronized between your Apple devices. Nuddi’s developer cannot access this data.

You can check the current synchronization status in:

Profile → iCloud sync

How do I transfer my logbook to a new iPhone?

Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account on both devices and that iCloud is enabled for Nuddi.

Open Nuddi on the new device and check Profile → iCloud sync. Your logbook should appear after iCloud finishes synchronizing.

Why are my dives not syncing?

Please check that:

You are signed in to iCloud.
iCloud Drive is enabled.
Nuddi has permission to use iCloud.
Both devices are using the same Apple Account.
You have an active internet connection.
Your device has enough available iCloud storage.

Synchronization may take a few moments after opening the app.

How do I delete my dives?

Open Nuddi and go to:

Profile → Delete all dives

This removes your dives from the device and from your private iCloud database.

To remove all remaining app data, delete Nuddi from your device. You can manage data stored in iCloud from:

Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage

Does Nuddi require an account?

No. Nuddi does not require an account, registration, or sign-in.

An Apple Account is only needed if you want to synchronize your logbook through iCloud.

How do I report a problem?

Send an email to nuddiapp@gmail.com and include, when possible:

A short description of the problem.
The steps that caused it.
Your iPhone model.
Your iOS version.
The version of Nuddi you are using.
A screenshot of the problem.

Please do not include private dive notes, certification photos, or other sensitive information.
